NDSU at Northern State University
– October 1, 2005
Thanks to scheduling conflicts, the Bison found themselves
with only the minimum eleven players on the first leg of their longest road
trip of the season. However, they were
still able to squeak out a 3-2 victory over a determined Northern State
team. The Bison dominated most of the
play throughout the game, but they were unable to put the Wolves away for good
due to poor shooting. The Bison peppered
the NSU net with shots, but the majority of them were either off target or
right at the goalkeeper. Northern State played the entire game with high
intensity, going hard after every ball. Nathan
Shubert scored his 7th goal of the season and Eric Stanley added two goals, bringing
his team-leading total for the season to 11.
Midfielder Dmitri Barabanov recorded two assists while Kellen Nesvig
also tallied one assist. The victory
upped the Bison’s record to 4-3-2 on the season while Northern State
fell to 1-7.
